  • The American Mathematics Competitions
    The American Mathematics Competitions are a series of examinations and curriculum materials that build problem-solving skills and mathematical knowledge.
    Grade: 9th - 12th
    Deadline: January (Competition A); February (Competition B)

  • Continental Mathematics League
    Helps students improve their reading comprehension and problem solving skills.
    Grade: 2nd - 9th
    Deadline: November to May, varies by division and meet

  • Math Kangaroo
    Encourages students to master their mathematical knowledge, provide confidence in their comprehending abilities, help them understand how math applies in nature's laws and human activities, and more.

  • The Math League

  • Moody's Mega Math Challenge (M3 Challenge)
    A mathematical modeling contest, where students experience what it's like to work as a team to tackle a real-world problem under time and resource constraints, akin to those faced by professional mathematicians working in industry.

  • Noetic Learning Math Contest
    Encourages interest in math, develops problem solving skills, and inspires students to excel in math.

    This is a simulation of a stock market, in which students are given one-hundred thousand virtual dollars to invest as they desire to gain an understanding of how the real world stock market functions.

  • USA Mathematical Talent Search
    Free math competition that allows students a full month (or more) to work out their solutions, with problems ranging in diffuculty from being within the reach of most high school students to challenging the best students in the nation.
